Plot:
Mira and Pétur travel from Nashville, Tennessee, to Iceland, where they’re planning to open a guesthouse by a remote fjord. Their plans are soon altered when an ancient Icelandic demon starts harassing them with vivid night terrors.

What follows is a chain of events that include Pétur facing dementia, Mira laying an infant-sized egg and them both squaring up against the tall task of… parenting.

Reviews:
” …a movie completely unconcerned with being normal, feeling like some type of alien comment on humanity and I mean that with the absolute highest of compliments. It’s weird and wonderful and singularly interested in being very much its own thing.” B&S About Movies

“While the visuals are very impressive and a large part of the atmosphere so important to the movie, it’s the wicked script that truly makes this a fun experience. It’s the script that keeps the audience guessing who’s good and who’s bad, and it sticks the landing with one more wicked wink.” 8 out of 10, Horror Buzz

“For those willing to take a risk on a kooky motion picture, It Hatched is a treat. This is an inevitable cult classic […] What the film lacks in profundity it makes up for in personality. Should this film cross your path it is unlikely you will find a horror movie as idiosyncratic and singularly fun as this one.” McRatings

“This Icelandic horror comedy is guaranteed to be one of the most off-the-wall films you’ll see this year […] Fans of high strangeness, offbeat humor,  and wonderfully crafted oddball cinema would be wise to seek this one out.” 4 out of 5, The Scariest Things
