Reviews:

All the Moons is a vampire movie without ever using the word, but there’s nothing like a long life for contemplating loneliness and mortality. Director Igor Legarreta seeks to redefine the vampire trope, making an intimate meditation on love and loss that includes some familiar facets but ultimately transcends the genre.” @ssholes Watching Movies

“Igor Legarreta has created something incredible within All the Moons. A disarming, but enchanting take on the vampire legend that is grounded in the most human experiences and emotions. Every shot is a painting. Every performance hits the target. In a word: stunning.” But Why Tho?

“For those that love a romantic fantasy-filled movie with astonishingly lovely cinematography, heartbreaking relationships, and lots of quiet, All the Moons is satisfying. However, if you’re like me and looking for something that is equal to or better than Let the Right One In, this is not it. By the same token, it is a nice vampire story.” Mother of Movies

“Legarreta and Jon Sagalá’s script is both captivating and stirring. As mentioned, the score by Pascal Gaigne is lovely and delicate in contrast to the moody and haunting atmosphere […] Through Legarreta’s touching portrayal of vampire lore, its universal theme of loneliness, and the engrossing battle to have agency over personal destiny, All the Moons cements itself as one of the best vampire films of all time.” Pay or Wait

” …the film fails to even offer moments of horror, rather it offers drama. Scenes of war and the reaction of the church could have been jumping off points for moments of horror (beyond simply playing the horror from her vampirism) but this prefers to study character, emotion and relationships […] The pace might be too slow for some but it is a class production. 6.5/10 Taliesin Meets the Vampires

” …All the Moons’ similarity to fables and fairy tales ends past its aesthetics. Masterfully acted and visually accomplished, the movie relieves vampires of the dingy theatrics of castles and crypts, but doesn’t have any new lessons to teach us about existence, immortal or otherwise. There’s familiar pathos and a polished sheen, but not the soul its central vampire (and the film as a whole) seems to be searching for.” Wicked Horror
