Reviews:
Terror on the Prairie is both just like every Western you’ve ever seen and also nothing like any Western you’ve ever seen. The biggest factor is that you get a truly strong female character. You see her struggle, you see her fail, you see her endure, and you see her overcome. She doesn’t do it alone, and she grows as a character along with her family.” 4.3 out of 5, Film Grouch

” …the blood flows deep and thick, meaning it’s not for the faint at heart in the slightest. Unlike a typical Western, this feels small in scale. Its action is confined to a sizeable piece of farmland, with the action taking place in and around the McAllister home and barn. Like a Western, it’s all about the action and vulnerable women taking on an impossible fight for survival.” 8.5 out of 10, Film Threat

” …luxuriates in classic Western visuals without copy-and-pasting the film’s aesthetic. The natural Montana climes do some of the heavy lifting, but Nelson’s script enhances that authentic veneer. It’s some of the best western dialogue since Bone Tomahawk, also produced by Sonnier. The film isn’t as aggressively bloody as that 2015 shocker, but it has its moments.” Hollywood in Toto

“Overall, Terror on the Prairie is a very good Western backed by a well-written script, two powerhouse lead performances, and an entire film that felt like it was made with passion. I highly recommend checking this film out.” The Music City Drive-In

“Apart from Searcy and Hues, who has about five minutes of screen time, the cast is mostly composed of unknowns and they’re likely to stay that way. When all is said and done, Terror on the Prairie is a watchable but forgettable film. It has its moments but they’re lost in a sea of blandness. I’d heard the film was brutal in its depiction of violence but it’s pretty much PG-13 material.” 2.5 out of 5, Voices from the Balcony
