‘Every body is a weapon’
Assassin is a 2023 American action crime sci-fi thriller in which a man dies as part of an experimental military program. A former black-ops soldier takes his place to find who killed him.
Directed by Jesse Atlas – making his feature film directorial debut – from a screenplay co-written with Aaron Wolfe (Record/Play). Produced by Alex Eckert, Jeff Elliott, Najeeb Khuda, Gavin Lurie, Joel Shapiro, Thomas Sjölund and Rob Wolfe.
The movie stars Bruce Willis, Andy Allo, Nomzamo Mbatha, Dominic Purcell, Eugenia Kuzmina, Mustafa Shakir, Fernanda Andrade, Vanessa, Vander Pluym, Hannah Quinlivan, Dustin Quick and Andrea Lareo.
“Unfortunately for a film that, according to its director, is “an exploration of identity” the characters seem to have absolutely no care for the lives and identities they destroy. And that in turn makes it very hard for me to give a f*ck about them or their fates. As for Willis himself, he has a fair amount of screen time and actually shares scenes with the rest of the cast.” 2 out of 5, Voices from the Balcony
In the US, Assassin will be released by Saban Films On-Demand (VOD) and Digital platforms on March 31, 2023.
