Plot:
A hijacked 767 plane will crash in just 97 minutes when its fuel runs out. Against the strong will of NSA Deputy Toyin, NSA Director Hawkins prepares to have the plane shot down before it does any catastrophic damage on the ground, leaving the fate of the innocent passengers in the hands of Alex, an undercover Interpol agent who has been embedded in the terrorist cell…

Reviews:
97 Minutes fails to generate parallel plots of extraordinary anxiety, but the writing is going somewhere specific in the final act, with the ultimate power of such a destination debatable at best, working to turn a fairly substandard thriller into a study of revenge and personal loss, only Vuorensola doesn’t sell it with any noticeable authority.” 3 out of 10, Blu-ray.com

“Alec Baldwin’s lackluster lead performance, coupled with poorly executed action sequences and a contrived storyline, results in a film that feels underwhelming and forgettable. The confusion and inconsistency throughout the narrative further detract from the overall viewing experience. While the movie does have a few redeeming qualities, they are simply not enough to salvage it…” Grade: D- Caillou Pettis Movie Reviews

“This misguided thriller moves in unwieldy starts and stops, with elements that seemed important 10 minutes earlier being forgotten and no cohesive sense of character or suspense. Feeling almost as if it were written by artificial intelligence (or rather unintelligence), 97 Minutes is a frustrating experience […] Pieces of the story seem shuffled around and jammed together for convenience rather than logic.” 2 out of 5, Common Sense Media

” …something that’s been done over and over again in other outings with more cunning or more violence, whereas Vuorensola has neither. Expected obstacles are in play too, such as a wounded pilot, an attempt at an uprising by the passengers, and depressurization of the plane, but they’re all too short to make an impression. Every possible opportunity to make a palatable if trite hostage situation is here, but the filmmakers were just checking boxes.” 1 out of 5, Voices from the Balcony
