Reviews:
“Overall, Shrapnel is a dialed in rescue thriller that is as advertised. Bonus points for character building and dramatic intake before the bullets start to fly because when they do, it’s gritty, brutal and satisfying. When you watch the trailer for this type of movie, you know what you’re going to get so fans of the genre and the filmmaker won’t be disappointed.” Action Flix
” …the allure of the drama where only one man can do the job may ignite a dream where somebody deals out their own style of vigilante justice. It’s just a shame that when you take away all the gunfire, the story is paper thin and doesn’t show its audience anything that they haven’t seen before.” Battle Royale with Cheese
“Shrapnel gets pretty tiresome at the very moment it should come alive, ultimately doing much better with anguished fatherhood feelings than show-of-force fun, which may confuse some viewers looking for cheap thrills. Kaufman can’t get the film going in the end, offering bland body horrors and limited imagination for stunt work instead.” ★★½ Blu-ray.com
