Reviews:
“Even the ending can be said to be a reasonable compromise from all the events that happened to Ning and his family. The horror is really very intense and maintained from the first half to the last, the jump scares feel natural, and the most important thing is that the perspective of the three main characters will explain all the problems that arise thoroughly.” 8.2 out of 10, Cineverse [translated from Indonesian]

” …Home for Rent is a really good horror film. It is filled to the brim with a lot of spine-chilling moments and has a strong sense of relatability because it reflects the very real fear of becoming a parent in this volatile economy. I know that sounds overly pretentious, especially after I spent most of the movie white-knuckling through every scene and not thinking about the themes and messages.” DMT

“If you check out this Thai horror movie on Netflix (and you really should!), then you’ll undoubtedly enjoy the very universal story. Give this one a chance and you will be rewarded with a very strong story and gorgeous production.” 4 out of 5, Heaven of Horror

Home for Rent is a creepy one-time watch. Its second half, with a ton of stuff happening, is better than its first. There are some emotional moments that will ground you in the characters and some thrilling ones that will keep you watching till the end. However, none is enough for this horror-thriller to reach anyone’s number 1 list.” 3 out of 5, Leisure Byte

Home for Rent dips its toes in gore after weighty themes and “Boo!” moments. Thankfully, the gore is not used as an excuse to produce mindless, nauseating images. It’s all shocking and violent without being excessively and absurdly gruesome […] You rarely come across a horror film that scares the living daylights out of you and also fills you with warmth.” 10 out of 10, Midgard Times

” …it’s intelligent, respects its viewer and is made with passion instead of a cash grab project. Definitely recommended, it takes its time to build a proper story, to include the viewer, to make him question what’s happening on the screen and also offers a good ending. So head to toes, a lovely experience here.” 7 out of 10, Patient 444

“It’s an amazing movie overall and feels like a blockbuster – great CGI, editing and soundtrack, believable acting, etc. It feels like the team and director respect the viewer, while I can’t say it’s something super new for the genre, it’s definitely really well made and just feels quality.” 9 out of 10, Sasha Darko
