Reviews:

“While there are many cliche moments, and the acting is shaky in patches, it holds enough unique twists and turns to keep the viewer watching. The title sequence intrigues the viewer and provides some necessary backstory. In addition, the cinematography by Jon Schweigart is smooth and creates an eerie atmosphere. Overall a decent movie for Dittlinger’s writing debut…” ★★★ Cryptic Rock

“Overall, the film manages to pack a decent amount of scares in within its low-budget horror construction. It also allows a nice line of dark humour to be drawn out in the bickering siblings’ dialogue, something that marks it out as slightly different from a purely run-of-the-mill shocker.” ★★★ Flickering Myth

“Sadly, the acting combined with the skewed logic had the opposite effect. It leaves the audience longing for the third act of this film a while before it was even on the horizon, and when it finally arrives, it feels forced. While it has the potential, Abbey Grace fails to bring a fresh take on a scary situation rooted in an everyday horror story.” ★½ Gruesome Magazine

“It’s all shot mostly in one house with some exteriors and a small main cast. The script stays focused and never gets too big for its budget. It’s not the most original thing you’ll see, with bits and pieces lifted from everything from Cujo and The Ring to The Amityville Horror and Alice Sweet Alice, but it integrates them into the story in ways that make sense so it doesn’t seem stolen.” ★★★½ Voices from the Balcony
