Arena Wars is a 2024 sci-fi action film set in the future in which criminals must fight to the death in live a TV sports event.

Written and directed by Brandon Slagle (Attack of the Unknown; The Dawn; Crossbreed; House of Manson; Dead Sea) from a story co-written by producers Michael Mahal and Sonny Mahal (Bermuda Island; Night of the Tommyknockers; Death Count; Bloodthirst; Bridge of the Doomed; Attack of the Unknown; Bus Party to Hell).

The movie stars Michael Madsen (Death Count; Shark Season; Megalodon; Lumberjack Man; Species franchise), Robert LaSardo (Bloodthirst; Attack of the Unknown; Sky Sharks; Cynthia), Eric Roberts, John Wells, Kevin Hager,  Sheri Davis and Mercedes Peterson.

Plot:
In 2045 convicted criminals are allowed to compete in the world’s #1 televised sporting event, ‘Arena Wars’. They must survive seven rooms and seven of the most vicious killers in the country. If they win, they regain their freedom…

Arena Wars will be released by Gravitas Ventures in North America on June 25, 2024.

Production and release:
The filmmakers launched an IndieGoGo campaign for an additional $40,000 for post-production and additional special effects. They raised nearly $54K and kept the campaign running for a stretch target of $70,000.
