Rebirth of The Living Dead is a 2026 sci-fi horror film that picks up nearly fifty years later from Return of the Living Dead (1984). In Los Angeles, “trioxin trash” is the new drug of choice on the streets. This “ultimate high” turns users into brain-craving zombies and it’s up to a lone scientist and a young couple to uncover the cure before it’s too late…

This is apparently a direct follow-up to the original 1978 Return of the Living Dead novel by John A. Russo (the co-writer of Night of The Living Dead, 1968), who also returns as producer.

The movie was written, directed and edited by prolific but opportunistically lazy Dustin Ferguson (Apex Predators 2: The Spawning; Spider Baby; Space Sharks; Mega Ape; Beyond the Gates of Hell; Amityville in the Hood; Zombi VIII: Urban Decay; Apex Predators; Ebola Rex vs. Murder Hornets; Rattlers 2; Arachnado; Amityville Toybox and many, many more feeble films). It stars Michelle Bauer, Brinke Stevens, Nathan Bexton, Barbara Magnolfi, Jennifer Moriarty, Shawn Doucette, Joe Sbar, Jaedra DiGiammarino, Courtney Lercara, DieTrich Thrall, Ken Brewer, Ted Hoffstatter, David Orosco, Doug Waugh, Christopher Walker and Justin Alexander Rodriguez.
