American Exorcist – USA, 2017 – overview

American Exorcist is a 2017 supernatural horror feature film written and directed by Tony Trov and Johnny Zito. Influenced by Italian horror, the crew reportedly experimented with many practical special effects.

Tony Trov has commented: “We’re very excited about our second feature. This is a love letter to Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci.”

The movie stars Bill Moseley, Falon Joslyn, Jo Pincushion, John McKeever, Leanna Billings, Alexa Marie Santy, Jeff Orens, Alison Crozier, John Bolaris, Andrew J. Kind, Liz Wagner and Paul Triggiani.

A paranormal investigator becomes trapped in a haunted skyscraper on Christmas Eve. The skeptical young woman, Georgette Dubois (Falon Joslyn), is horrified once confronted with the reality of the supernatural. She has to risk life and limb to escape her ghoulish prison, stranded on the 11th floor…

  1. actually, Tripp Weathers’ film is called American Exorcism and is out on VOD iTunes and amazon now!

    1. Oops, thanks ‘Anonymous’. Info corrected and a link to buy American Exorcism, available from yesterday on VOD, has been added. Meanwhile, delving further, it seems that An American Exorcism (also 2017) is a British movie!
