Reviews:
“If I were to mention one positive, it is that the ending is somewhat compelling and much more so than the rest of the film. However, it is a complete departure from everything that the film set up beforehand and doesn’t fit in at all with the rest of the plot. Overall, The Day After Halloween is not worth the investment of time…” 0.5 out of 4, Film Festival Today

“For an ultra-low-budget Indie horror comedy, The Day After Halloween provides a good share of laughs and jolts […] Ostrom knows what he’s doing here and who his audience is. By design, it would probably be best to be chemically altered when viewing this. If you enjoy Troma-style Lloyd Kaufman-esque schlock, then this is your kind of joint.” 7 out of 10, Film Threat

” …comparisons to The Hangover trilogy are inevitable and merited; however, the influence looming largest over The Day After Halloween is Clerks. To its detriment, Schluck’s script trafficks in Kevin Smith’s droll, smarmy, too-knowing patter, so everyone’s conversations amount to a stand-up routine for an audience of one or two.” Flick Attack

“Using the time jumping makes the story gets thrown all over the place, never giving us enough time to get involved with the story. Addison and Hayes are both annoying lead characters, with Addison’s sexist behaviour and how Hayes puts up with it for so long […] a flat horror comedy…” Movie Reviews 101

” …a comedy, and a pretty funny one at that, thanks to well-set and welcomely underplayed punchlines, macabre spots ever so often, and also the very relatable slacker performances by Danny Schluck and Brandon DeLany, leading a very solid cast.” Search My Trash

” …the leads and just about everyone else in The Day After Halloween are distinctly unlikable. They’re supposed to be likable/goofy slackers but they’re more like obnoxious jerks. Granted if you find this film’s jokes funny then you probably will like them, but I have a hunch not very many people will be laughing.” 1 out of 5, Voices from the Balcony
