Cinderella’s Curse is a 2023 British horror film loosely based on characters from Charles Perrault’s classic 1697 fairy tale.
Directed by Louisa Warren (Crooked Man; Cut; Pigman; Legend of the Lizard Man; Tooth Fairy 5: Premolars; Doctor Carver and its sequel; Tooth Fairy: Queen of Pain; The Leprechaun’s Game; Tooth Fairy: The Root of Evil; Scarecrow’s Revenge; Virtual Death Match; Bride of Scarecrow; Tooth Fairy; Curse of the Scarecrow) from a screenplay written by Harry Boxley (Mary Had A Little Lamb).
The ChampDog Films production stars Kelly Rian Sanson, Chrissie Wunna (Pterodactyl; Exorcist Vengeance; Dinosaur Hotel 2), Lauren Budd, Natasha Tosini, Sam Barrett, Danielle Scott, Frederick Dallaway, Helen Fullerton, Charlotte Coleman and Peter Watson.
Director Louisa Warren recently told Bloody Disgusting, “This an incredibly unique spin on the Cinderella we all love and know. There are going to be some truly horrific deaths by her hands. I think the gorehounds are in for a treat in my dark retelling.”
Meanwhile, co-star Chrissie Wunna who plays the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella’s Curse, told Bloody Disgusting, “The fairy godmother is cunning, cruel and deadly. Things are going to get extremely bloody when she’s around. Our version of Cinderella winks towards Carrie.”
