Reviews:
“The story pacing goes from methodical during the set-up to oddly rushed once it comes time for death to come calling. The senses of dread and urgency often felt muted when they were needed most. And the means by which death itself can be defeated is downright silly. I just wish the movie as a whole had committed to being either eerier or sillier.” Brainwaves
” …the movie can be critiqued using generic comments applicable to any number of interchangeably forgettable films in the DTV horror space. A pointless prologue. Amateur actors you’ve never seen before and will never see again. Handheld camerawork that’s often too dark or too bright because the production didn’t have the requisite time, money, or effort to light properly.” Culture Crypt
“The script has a solid enough outline to tell a complete story, but the dialogue and acting leave you wanting more. The acting is so stilted; no one comes off naturally, and it seems like most of the actors are going through the motions. The visuals are a bit unimaginative as well; everything from the cinematography to the villain design feels a bit flat.” Flickering Myth
“Pet Graveyard is torpedoed early on by its own talky, ponderous script – thanks to which the amateur actors actually have to say things like “We brink death” and (hold the phone!) “Brink on to the other side”. It’s creaky beyond words and there’s probably not a less sympathetic bunch of characters in a horror movie this year. In fact, it’s enough to make you brink yourself and take out a whole bunch of brinkers in the process.” Horror Screams Video Vault
“The pathetic cash-grab title aside, this is one of the dullest, corniest, and least effective horror films in recent memory. The entire premise is illogical beyond belief and makes Flatliners look like a documentary by comparison.” Splatter Critic
