Reviews:
“The explorations that arise when they arrive and try to find a way out which results in a disappearance and the discovery that someone or something is down there with them is handled quite well adding a solid way to enhance the unease felt in the situation the longer they’re down there. However, it soon becomes apparent that this is really all the film has going for it…” Don’s World of Horror and Exploitation

“The film could have benefitted from a more profound exploration of its characters, giving the audience a stronger emotional connection to their plight. I would admit that I would have been more invested in the characters if I knew more about them as individuals instead of just picking up from where we did […] Despite these drawbacks, Underground stands out for its unique blend of found footage horror that doesn’t just rely on the unseen.” ★½ Overly Honest Movie Reviews

“Enthusiasts of found footage who would rather get scared by investigative moments of a dreadful atmosphere than a cool camera trick in a low-budget movie will find Underground an interesting watch. A little long at 101 minutes, the film could have shaved off about ten minutes of its run time, but all in all, it feels like a nice addition to the subgenre.” 7 out of 10, The Review Geek

” …uses a lot of the tried and true found footage tricks and treats…but it layers fresh ones on top of them. It’s effective in delivering what it intends to. A movie that feels like you’re watching regular people trapped in an unexplainable, scary situation.” ★★★ Scare Value
