Plot:

Ten years ago, the sleepy suburb of Havenwood was plagued by a string of unsolved murders by a masked maniac remembered only as The Ripper.

Now, a new series of killings has begun, and teenagers are turning up dead everywhere. Can The Ripper be stopped this time around?

Reviews:

“The gore here was heavy-handed and cheesy just like the films it so clearly derives from but unlike a lot of these homage films, it isn’t played for laughs. Everything is done straight-faced which makes an enormous difference and makes this “flaw” work in the film’s favor rather than against it. A lot of the kills are also done off-screen which is also true to the source material.” B is for Best

“If slasher lovers are not seriously impressed by the opening of this movie then, frankly, there is something wrong. The whole tone is nailed to perfection in terms of a good old fashioned 80s slice and dice picture, excellent score, group of people clearly being stalked by an ominous figure and an eventual massacre (off-screen but the aftermath is damn chilling).” Hacked in the Head

Blood-Slaughter-Massacre-Ripper-2013

“The film keeps a good and solid steady pace, with just a tinge too long in the ‘back-story’ portion, a hair more editing to make it spot-on, yet the characters have substance and creating a caring from the audience about their individual plight and survival. Manny provides well position scares, drama and mixture of suspense with some of the most brutal killing scenes that have graced the screen.” The Horror Times

” …it’s the placing of the bogeyman in each stalking sequence that really delivers the necessary fear factor. He’s up there with the guy from The Orphan Killer as one of the scariest maniacs of the new-age and the director doesn’t waste a chance to make the most of his presence. He butchers a huge amount of victims and his sadistic brutality is extremely threatening. This is one of those films that develops its shocks because it makes you question how you’d react if you were to be placed in the situation that you see unfolding on the screen.” A Slash Above…

“The blood, gore and special effects where above standard for this level of Indie production. Most of the kill scenes allowed a face view graphic slaughter-and the pay off was a nice reward for the scene and the viewer. This film is a cool little indie flick that fans of the slasher genre will truly enjoy.” A Southern Life in Scandalous Times
