Corporate Animals is a 2019 American comedy horror feature film directed by Patrick Brice (There’s Someone Inside Your House; Creep and Creep 2) from a screenplay by Sam Bain (Peep Show, Fresh Meat). The movie stars Demi Moore, Ed Helms, Jessica Williams and Karan Soni.

Lucy (Demi Moore) is the egotistical megalomaniac CEO of Incredible Edibles, America’s premier provider of edible cutlery. In her infinite wisdom, Lucy leads her staff including her long-suffering assistants, Freddie (Karan Soni) and Jess (Jessica Williams), on a corporate team-building caving weekend to New Mexico.

When disaster strikes, not even their useless guide, Brandon (Ed Helms), can save them. Trapped underground by a cave-in, this mismatched and disgruntled group must pull together in order to survive…

Reviews [click links to read more]:

“I was amused and engaged all the way through. The characters are a lively, diverse bunch, and there’s a lot going on: one has a leg wound that’s going bad and making him delusional; one’s having an affair with the boss; one’s just a jerk who verbally abuses everyone.” Eric D. Snider, Crooked Marquee

“It’s a shame that Corporate Animals isn’t great because the casting is spot-on […] Slapstick is tough to pull off, especially when mixed with gore and violence. There are moments where you can see the potential shine through, but otherwise, this is a rare misfire from Brice.” Chris Bumbray, JoBlo

” …it feels like it’s trying to play with hot-button issues like representation and female CEOs, but it doesn’t have the teeth to really be called a satire or any kind of social commentary. It’s just using them as window dressing. Even worse, it’s just not funny.” Brian Tallerico,

“The film goes from bad to worse as the days trapped in the cave tick on, with madness slowly setting in. Just when you think the film can’t derail any further, there’s an awful extended hallucination sequence with ugly animation and bloody body parts.” Screen Zealots

Screen Media is releasing Corporate Animals on VOD on August 9, 2019.
