Smile 2 has been officially announced by Paramount Pictures for a theatrical debut on October 18, 2024, just in time for Halloween. The movie is, of course, the inevitable sequel to Parker Finn’s 2022 surprise hit Smile, which took a whopping $217 million worldwide on a reported budget of $17 million, making a sequel more than inevitable.

The first film was an adaptation of Finn’s own short film Laura Hasn’t Slept. which you can watch below in 4K on YouTube.

As widely reported, the filmmaker has signed a multi-year deal with Paramount Pictures.

“Smile’s breakthrough success is a testament to Parker’s unique and fresh filmmaking, and we are thrilled that he will make Paramount his home,” said Paramount CEO Brian Robbins.

“Parker knows how to keep people on the edge of their seat and we’re happy that we get to keep scaring audiences together,” Paramount’s Michael Ireland and Daria Cercek added.
