Reviews:
“What helps this movie and places it above the everyday Tubi original is the talent in the film, the fact that it’s not afraid to get super weird — an elevator that takes you to a portal to Hell is a strange place to make small talk — and it has production values that feel way higher than most Asylum films. There’s also a bit of Eurohorror to the villain and the endless clocks and gears that appear everywhere.” B&S About Movies

“There’s a strong idea at its core, and it does a decent job of developing an entire mythology around this […] I wasn’t convinced by an ending that felt too easy: without spoilering, it’s along “deal with the devil undone by fine print” lines. Yet on the whole I was satisfied and entertained, getting a decent premise executed with competence and some energy.” C+ Film Blitz

“Just because I didn’t enjoy this, I fully believe there’s an audience out there who will. I did not like the strange mix of kitsch and campy elements with too much seriousness. That’s on me […] If only this movie had utilized humor and campiness more, I think I would’ve actually enjoyed it.” ★ Heaven of Horror

Dante’s Hotel is one of those films where the supporting characters are more interesting. Like that of Judd Nelson who understands what type of project he is in, and he decided to have fun. Just like Ted Raimi (the Evil Dead saga) who instead chooses to elevate the film with his presence. Especially in the final third, as Dante’s Hotel resolves to conclude in a rather anticlimactic final confrontation.” 3.3 out of 5, Mr Horreur [translated from French]

“There’s a tradition in horror movies being filled with characters too dumb to live and that’s certainly on display with the guests and Moon Bloodgood as a police detective ignoring everything she sees […] leading into a CGI-heavy twist (which is at least better than the modest practical effects) before the film mercifully draws to a close.” ★½ Razorfine

“The plot, a mix of ideas from The Beyond, Bloody New Year, and The Shining among others has a European feel to it, with the lighting in a couple of scenes reminding me of Argento […] Enjoyable, no frills films with just enough splatter to satisfy the fans without breaking the budget.” 3 out of 5, Voices from the Balcony
