Our review:
Pterodactyl is fairly well-paced and the CGI monsters look slightly better than in some previous Scott Jeffrey productions. As is the norm in these movies, the (mainly female) protagonists spend a lot of time bickering – and at one point Chrissie Wunna’s character comments “Oh, this is tedious” – and yes viewers may well be worn down with some of the ongoing antipathies. That said, at least it’s naturalistic dialogue given how much people moan in real life. And online.

The acting duties are fine for all the cast and Sarah T. Cohen has fun here with a faux Eastern European accent. There’s an amusing debate about whether the flying beasties are dinosaurs, dragons or wyverns. For the record pterosaurs were not dinosaurs.

On the downside, the audio on the version online is way too low and there’s a feeble CGI fire effect at the climax. Pterodactyl is hardly essential though it’s more agreeable than many monster movies from these British producers.
