Monster Attack 3: Jurassic Mystery is a 2022 creature feature about a team that goes to a remote island to investigate a dinosaur sighting. It is a sequel in name only to Monster Attack (2019) and Monster Attack 2 (2021) as the characters and plots are unconnected to the previous entries.
Written and directed by Miao Jincang [導演: 苗金仓] (Monster Attack; Monster Attack 2). Produced by Miao Jinguang [製片人: 苗金光].
The Chinese Nalai Pictures [出品發行: 纳莱影视] production stars Long De [主演: 龙德], Cao Lei [曹雷], Wang Xaioqi [王潇淇] and Hu Yuansong [户元松].
Plot:
Su Jinfeng has been farming coconuts on a remote island for several years. One day, he suddenly encounters a small living dinosaur and so flees for his life. Puzzled and brooding about the incident, he informs the local media.
Media editor Lin Peilun is overjoyed when she hears the news about the discovery of a living dinosaur obviously realising that it is an unprecedented major discovery for the contemporary age. She hopes to be the first to report the incident, which may even lead to her winning the Pulitzer Prize!
Lin Peilun travels with several biological experts to investigate the dinosaur story. However, the primitive natural environment of the deserted island makes it difficult for the group and they encounter deadly creatures such as snakes and scorpions; Lin Peilun is stung by a scorpion while rescuing Wu Xinmei, and almost dies.
After a difficult journey, the team finally find the villager Su Jinfeng and prepares to investigate further…
