Monsters Battlefield is a 2021 creature feature involving a dragon-shaped creature and an extraterrestrial giant beast.
Directed by Xu Shixing (Abyssal Beast; Sharktopus; Storm City; Typhoon; Crocodile Island; Finger Master) from a screenplay by Weijie Song. Produced by Zhuo Shen.
The Xia Men Yi Jia Film and Television production stars Zhang Meng, Ning Li, Gu Jing, Long Zhengxuan, Gan Liny, Qiao Liu Rui, Wang Ye, Ruo Lan, Hu Zhixuan and Zhao Wei.
Plot:
Ye Qin, the fiancée of Qin Yang, a heroic soldier, died tragically after encountering an unknown giant beast. Gu Ping invited him to participate in Ye Qin’s scientific research during his lifetime. But Gu Ping secretly used Ye Qin’s research results to combine the genes of unknown giant beasts to create the “zero” dragon-shaped creature. Between the intelligent dragon-shaped creatures and an extraterrestrial giant beast that evolved by devouring everything in their path, an urban war is about to break out…

“It is interesting to see an entry which is quite clearly influenced by the Godzilla franchise. You have two independent monsters, one more of a threat to mankind. Indeed, the dragon is depicted very sympathetically, and a scene where Yang and Tong pull a thorn out of its paw […] The intentions here are good.
